





I had an unbelievable football career. I played for 20 years because I loved the game of football. I loved everything about it, but I especially loved you – the fans. I feel incredibly lucky to still haveyour love and support now that I’m done playing. All those games, all those accomplishments, I couldn’t have done it without the greatest fans in pro football – you. Thank you for supporting and inspiring me to be great. I love you guys.

Jerry Rice has been selected to the Pro Bowl 13 times, he has been named an NFL All-Pro 12 times and has won three Super Bowls with the 49ers. Yet he has never donned the cover of Madden, the best-selling American sports video game in history.

In March it was announced that Jerry Rice Jr. — yes, thatJerry Rice — was one of three UCLA players who wereforegoing their final year of eligibility.
As it turns out, Rice was merely foregoing his final season of eligibility with the Bruins.
On his Twitter account Friday night, the son of the Hall of Famer announced that he will be continuing his collegiate playing career at UNLV.
